Specialist Pretreatment Coating
Alocrom 1200 is a chromate conversion treatment for aluminium and it’s alloys. The resulting protective coating is an iridescent golden colour, giving excellent corrosion protection with or without paint. With its low electrical resistance it can be used to repair anodised coatings before painting. Conforming to Military and British Standards in the UK and US, it’s also approved by all major aircraft manufacturers including Boeing.
Alocrom 1200 has many advantages as a coating pre treatment:

Applications
Alocrom 1200 is suited to all types of aluminum and its alloys, including high silicon pressure die-castings. Suitable for use on both painted and unpainted components. Ideal where high corrosion resistance is essential. Widely used in industry, for domestic and electrical appliances, auto parts and aircraft components. Treated items are unaffected by brass, copper and steel inserts.
Alocrom 1200 is prohibited for use on foodstuff containers.
